On Saturday the local HMGS-South group played a dark age skirmish game using SAGA rules at the Dogs of War shop. In this non-historical scenario, two Norman warbands were opposed by Viking and Anglo-saxon warbands. Although the scenario allowed for changing sides and eventually a free-for-all, the players maintained the original alignment to the end.
The Vikings won on points by eliminating a Norman warlord and his mounted knights.
